Instructions:

  1. Paint or Color the Sticks:
    • Start by painting the sticks green. If you don't have paint, you can use green markers or crayons to color them.
  2. Create Tree Shape:
    • Once the sticks are dry, arrange them in a triangle shape to form the Christmas tree. The bottom stick should be a bit longer than the other two to create a tree shape.
    • Or you can make a triangle with the sticks and place some in the middle like the photo.
  3. Glue Popsicle Sticks:
    • Use glue to attach the sticks together. Press them firmly and let the glue dry completely.
    • Use hot glue (parents only) or heavy wood glue.
  4. Decorate the Tree:
    • Let the kids get creative by decorating their Christmas tree with buttons or sequins. They can glue these on to represent ornaments.
  5. Add a Star:
    • If you have a small star sticker or cut-out, place it at the top of the tree to represent the star on the Christmas tree.
  6. Attach Ribbon or String:
    • Cut a small piece of ribbon or string and create a loop. Attach one end to the top of the Christmas tree using glue, creating a loop for hanging.
  7. Let it Dry:
    • Allow the ornament to dry completely before handling or hanging.

Now, you have a simple and adorable stick Christmas tree ornament or decoration that the kids can proudly hang on the tree or give as a homemade gift.

Feel free to customize the craft with additional embellishments like glitter, pom-poms, or any other festive materials you have on hand.

Enjoy the crafting process and have a Merry Christmas!
