What You’ll Need:
- 1 refrigerated pie crust (or make one from scratch if you’re feeling fancy)
- 6 Edwards Family Farms chicken eggs (fresh as they come!)
- 3/4 cup milk or cream (whatever you've got)
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 lb. Edwards Family Farms Italian sausage, cooked (any ground sausage will do)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese, divided (cheddar, Swiss, or a mix—go wild!)
- 3 Tablespoons green onion, chopped
Let’s Get Cooking:
- Preheat & Prep
Heat your oven to 375°F. Go ahead and grab that pie crust, unroll it, and press it into a 9-inch pie plate. Crimp the edges if you’re feeling a little decorative! - Cook the Sausage
In a skillet, brown up the sausage until it’s nicely cooked. Set it aside and resist the urge to snack on it just yet. - Mix It Up
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth and well-blended. - Layer the Good Stuff
Spread the cooked sausage, 1 cup of cheese, and green onions in your pie crust. Pour the egg mixture over all of that, then top it off with the remaining 1/2 cup of cheese. - Bake to Perfection
Pop that beauty in the oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the center is set. You’ll know it’s ready when a knife comes out clean from the middle. - Cool & Serve
Let your quiche cool for 5-10 minutes. Slice it up and dig in!
Pro Tip: Make It Yours
Quiche is flexible! Swap out the sausage for bacon, ham, or any leftover veggies you have on hand. This is one dish that’s all about the flavor, not the rules.
Enjoy your slice of breakfast bliss! 🥧
