    Ingredients:

    • 1 pounds Edwards Family Farms ground sausage (hot, mild or Italian are best)
    • 8 small flour or corn tortillas
    • Shredded lettuce
    • Diced tomatoes
    • Shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
    • Sour cream
    • Salsa or pico de gallo
    • Fresh cilantro, chopped
    • Lime wedges for serving

    Instructions:

    1. Cook the Sausage Mixture:
      • In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground sausage, breaking it apart with a spatula.
      • Cook until the sausage is browned and cooked through, usually about 5-7 minutes.
      • Add chopped onions and garlic to the skillet and cook until they are softened and translucent.
      • Stir in the ground cumin, smoked paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
    2. Prepare the Toppings:
      • While the sausage is cooking, prepare your taco toppings. Shred the lettuce, dice the tomatoes, grate the cheese, and chop the cilantro.
    3. Warm the Tortillas:
      • Heat the tortillas according to the package instructions. You can warm them in a dry skillet, microwave, or oven.
    4. Assemble the Tacos:
      • Spoon the cooked sausage mixture onto each tortilla.
      • Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheese.
      • Add a dollop of sour cream and a spoonful of salsa or pico de gallo.
      • Sprinkle fresh cilantro over the top.
      • Squeeze a wedge of lime over each taco for a burst of citrus flavor.
    5. Serve and Enjoy:
      • Arrange the tacos on a platter and serve immediately.
      • Encourage everyone to customize their tacos with their favorite toppings.
    6. Optional Extras:
      • Guacamole, sliced jalapeños, or sliced radishes can be great additions for extra flavor and texture.
