Starlight Green Egger(TM)

This breed was created by crossing a Prairie Bluebell Egger(TM) with a brown egg layer.

The Starlight Green Egger(TM) is a lightweight and active breed making it an excellent forager.

Because of it's ability to forage, we recommend this breed to those who would like to free-range their birds.

Their plumage colors are highly variable and come in many beautiful color patterns that are not typically seen.

While this breed was designed to lay a green egg, there is a 5% chance of laying brown eggs.

About the Breed:

Purpose: egg layer production: ~280 large green eggs/year

Temperament: active and easy going

Mature weight: 5-6 pounds

Hardiness: cold and heat hardy

Broodiness: rarely

Comb type: pea comb

If you need a lot of green eggs to add to your egg basket, this is your bird!
